Hi, I'm
Leonid Tots
Software Developer
Software Development student. I build web applications, APIs, and automation tools using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and modern web technologies.
About
I'm a Software Development student. I write Python — building APIs, automating tasks, and working with databases. My studies also cover systems programming in C and C++.
Beyond coursework, I work with FastAPI, Flask, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, and other tools to build complete software solutions.
This portfolio is part of that process. Every project here is something I built and understand.

Projects
Career platform for students and employers with role-based access, AI-assisted job descriptions and cover letters, two-tier moderation, and interactive opportunity mapping via Yandex Maps API. Built as a team at IF...ELSE 2026 hackathon — 2nd place.
Epidemic Spread Simulation
A cellular automaton model of infectious disease spread across a 2D grid population. Supports multiple virus profiles (COVID-19, Flu, Measles), real-time statistics visualization, interactive controls, and manual outbreak placement.
Solar System Visualization
Physics-based simulation of planetary orbits using real NASA data. Adapts to screen resolution, includes speed controls, pause/resume, and orbital path toggling. Built with Python's built-in turtle graphics library.
MP3 Metadata Editor
Console utility in C for reading and editing ID3v2 metadata in MP3 files. Supports listing all tag frames, reading a specific frame by ID (e.g. TIT2 for title), and replacing frame values. Parses the binary ID3v2 format directly. Covered by unit tests via ctest.
Computational Mathematics
WinForms desktop application in C# implementing classical numerical methods across four domains: numerical integration (rectangles, trapezoid, Simpson with Runge error control), ODE solving (Euler, Runge-Kutta 4th order, modified Euler), nonlinear equation root-finding (Newton, bisection, chord), and function approximation (Maclaurin series, Chebyshev polynomials).
Fractal Simulator
Python program that generates and visualizes Julia sets — fractals defined by the iteration z = z² + c on the complex plane. Uses NumPy for vectorized computation and Matplotlib for rendering. Image size, plane range, iteration count, and constant c are all configurable.
